Overview

The Tability app for Microsoft Teams gives users access to their Tability workspace right from Microsoft Teams.

Benefits of the integration

The Tability integration brings several benefits:

  • Automated sign in: Tability will automatically sign in the current user with their email. As such, it drastically simplifies access to OKRs. If a user is signed in into Microsoft Teams, then they will also be signed into Tability with the same email.

  • OKR dashboards: Microsoft Teams users will all have access to all the dashboards, filters and stratregy maps that are available in the web application. You will get a fully features application instead of a trimmed down version of Tability.

  • Instant updates: all the latest features and improvements will be accessible as soon as they are released to production. You do not need to update Tability in the Microsoft Teams admin to get software updates.

How to install the application for all your Microsoft Teams users

Our Microsoft Teams integration isn't yet available on the Microsoft marketplace, so you will have to manually instead the application package from here.

  1. Download the application Zip package from our shared drive folder.

  2. Go to your Microsoft Teams Admin Center

  3. Go to Team apps > Manage apps

  4. Open the actions menu and click on Upload new app

Make sure that the app status is set to Allowed

That's it, now your users will be able to find the Tability app in their Teams workspace.

Using the Tability for Microsoft Teams app

Authentication

The Tability application for Teams will automatically sign in the current user with their email. If they do not have yet an account their account will automatically be created the first time that they load the application.

Tability subscription

You will need to be part of an existing Tability workspace with a subscription to use the features of Tability.

You cannot create your subscription in Microsoft Teams, but you can do so from the web application at https://tability.app/login

Features

Almost all features that are available in the web application will also be available in the Tability for Teams app.

Limitations

  • You cannot update the admin settings from Microsoft Teams. Tability will automatically redirect you to the web application at https://tability.app if you need to access the admin settings.

  • You cannot create a subscription from Microsoft Teams. You will need to do that from the web app.
