  • From the Outcome Modal: When you click on an outcome anywhere in the app, you will get a pop up modal with the Outcome details—chart, latest check-in, etc. In the top right corner you will see a menu button ⋯ . Click here to access the Edit Outcome modal.

  • From the Plan Editor: While in the Plan Editor, you'll be able to access all the changes by just clicking on the elements on the screen. For example, by clicking on the owner, you'll automatically

How to change metrics and outcome types

You can easily change metric values and outcome types of your outcomes through the edit outcomes modal.

For more about outcome types see: Outcome types

You can find the metrics section right below the owners and contributors.

Depending on the outcome type, you will have different values to specify. Some of those values will be:

  • Target value: This will set the target value of your outcome. You can customise the format (ex: $150/user, NPS 80, 40 demos) in this field. The progress chart adjusts according to this value and sets the trajectory line towards this value.

  • Starting value: This will set the starting value of your outcome and the starting point on your progress chart. The format you set in the target value will automatically appear here.

  • Stay above/below: This sets the threshold target of your outcome. It will appear as a flat gray line in the progress chart.

  • Minimum/maximum value of vertical axis: This setting allows you to customise the window you see in your progress chart.

Advanced outcome settings

In the 'advanced' tab of the Edit Outcome model, you'll see some extra information you can add to your outcomes.

  • Description: Add text to add more context or explain what an outcome is about.

  • Tags: Add or create a tag to help organize related outcomes. You can filter by tags in the Filter view.

  • Weight: For outcomes that are more important than others, add weights. Weights will affect the amount of progress an outcome contributes to an objective. For example, an outcome with the weight of 2x will count for twice as much toward the overall progress as a normal (1x) outcome. See the image below to see how it looks in practice 👇
